My practicum was finally over! Phew! Thank God that i did it very well! The supervisor was very pleased with my performance! The motor skill lesson was a successful one & i managed to capture the children's attention. I remember how stressed i was for my practicum but effort was paid off! It's definitely worth it. Now i have to focus on my assignment which will be due this monday! Oh no! I've not even began! By hook & by crude i've to finished before monday! Ahhhhh....last minute work.....haha but i'm more excited about my KL trip this week! Gonna have lots of fun! Woo Hoo....

2 days ago (friday 7/8), Ben & I watched this movie, UP. It was a heart-warming show. You may want to consider this cute & meaningful show. The title may not sound that exciting but you won't regret it! It is definitely worth the money. For all ages ok!

Yesterday (8/8), after the service, we went to SHIN Tokyo restaurant and had a simple and tasty meal. We ate quite alot haha...as usual...a couple with big appetite!

In fact, i thought he was a gross & crazy fellow who went to many surgeries & had a crazy luxurious life. I became more interested in him after his death. I read about him & realized he had led a sad life even though he was super wealthy. He was just like any ordinary person & had great talents to serve in this entertainment industry. Before the month of June ends, i must quickly blog whatever i can think of...Haha...!
Today i stayed back after work again to complete my Multiple Intelligence Exhibition. After a few weeks of hard work, i finally managed to complete it! I was overjoyed! In my opinion, it was the best work i did so far! At first, I was stressed over it as i was not confident to show case to parents & teachers. Besides i want my exhibition to be excellent & impressive. I want it to be recognized by people. That's why i've been working very hard to make it a good one. I'm determined to make my exhibition one of the best among the classes! I know it might not be able to beat the upper levels but i know i've done my very best & a great job! Praise the Lord! My kids' performance is coming up too...I'm determined to make this performance a good one too! I often tell my kids to do their best. I know they can...& i'm teaching them to say, 'i will do my best'. I don't know if i'm a perfectionist. I just know i want to be better than others or as equally as good as them. Everyone is different. Some are fast learners & some need more time to learn. I belong to the 2nd category. Once i cried over this as i was frustrated that i can't as good as others. I've to work extra hard instead which can be quite tiring & discouraging at times. Thank God that Jesus is my strength & joy! Know what? This week it is MJ's zone decentralised weekend service! That's cool! I received a sms about serving in Choir this saturday. Initially i was hesitant but i decided this will be a great opportunity to serve God! I've never served in choir before. I would love to have this feeling to serve in His presence. I'm glad i made this right choice! Ok...It's getting late...I'll update again (:

At this B.F season, i am patiently waiting for financial miracles to happen. It was not easy. I face some frustrations & anxiety but i've to keep confessing that God is my provider & HE is a rich God. Thank God that things are improving in my work. My mindset is different from what was used to be. My mindset is now more open & has a higher level of thinking. Thank God for those people who mould me & help me. One of the best persons that i want to thank is none other than my fiance. My life is so much better ever since we are together.

Currently, i'm saving up for certain important events. There are so many things i wish to buy but i can't. Not even a good haircut i'm yearning for. Frankly, i was a little frustrated but i'm kinda numb to it already. Whenever i'm feeling frustrated & stressed, i just pray to God to take all these anxieties away. There are some uncertainy in my mind right now. Ha i can do nothing but only ask HIM for wisdom to guide me.

Also, i'm not satisfied what i'm getting now. I want more!

I just came back from Jurong Point. It was really fun hanging out with my dearest Benjamin. We had dinner, massage,window shopping & supper! We also share alot of joy & jokes! We met each other 6 times this week! Man...alot, isn't it?! He was really a super awesome man to be with! I'm never bored being with him....we have so much to communicate & do things together, especially food! We always hunt for good food around & discuss about them...I'm really glad our relationship is getting stronger. Our love for each other really grow each day! Reflection about a negative comment

Today, my lecturer said a negative comment about me that really struck me.
I was wondering and reflecting about her comments about me. Thinking really hard, i deceided to call my fiance what happened & the things that i said during break time at lecture. My fiance explained to me & i sorted it out. I finally understand why. i learn these important values:

1. Be prudent
2. Listen & Think before you speak
3. Sometimes it's better to be quiet
4. Even if a fool keeps quiet, he is deemed as wise

So now why you know the comment is negative...

In fact, i wanna thanks this lecturer of mine to tell me straightforwardly so i know what i've gone wrong. In fact, people like us need to be poked in order to grow.

Yesterday (7th February 2009) was our 1st Anniversary. I remember last year when we first officially together was on the 1st day of CNY. We didn't go out on our anniversary as Benjamin was not well. But he cooked noodles for me for our anniversary. It was really sweet of him. His mum also blessed me with a new nokia handphone. Recently, i lost my handphone & feel a little upset about it. I want a new one but i can't really buy it at this point of time. My budget is a little tight. God must have known that i really want it badly hence HE blesses me! Praise the Lord! Next week is Valentine's day. I wonder what he would plan on that special day... ...to all couples out there...keep your love strong & continue to share your life with each other!

My Thoughts & Wishes for 2009

What do you normally does when you have free time to spare? I'm sure most of you will spend your time window shopping, surfing the net, exercising, sleeping etc...the list goes on...My free time is usually on Sunday. I'll stay at home most of the sundays sleeping, indulging myself with yummy food, surfing net...window shopping (not that often anymore)...blogging (not that frequent too)...

As i'm working & studying at the same time, it can be really tiring & stressful. Additional activities like cell group, church, spending time with your beloved, fellowship also include in daily lifestyle. of course all these additional activities benefit my life. In fact attending cell groups & church will never short change me or you!

This year, i don't really know what i want so this is a good place for me to pen down my thoughts & wishes.

1. I want to be an effificent worker.
I can be describe as a tortoise who will take my own sweet time when in fact i'm running out of time.

2. I want to be good in decorating my classroom learning corners.
I never enjoy decorating classrooms. In fact, it's not really my forte but i can't escape from this. This is part of my job.

3. I want a better pay.
Currently, my pay is only considered alright. I hope i can have a pay increment after i completed my course.

4. I want a stronger & mature love with my fiance.
People will come & tell me that dating time is the most romantic moments but marriage will be different & challenging. I don't know how true is that but i know if you apply the 5 love languages in a relationship, it'll work wonders & miracles.

5. I want to settle down by the end of this year.
It sounds that i'm pretty 'kan chong' but it has always been a dream to me. I'm seriously looking forward to it. Whether it'll come true this end of year will have to depend my fiance & I.

6. I want to travel out of Singapore.
I have been to Indonesia, Malaysia & Genting by ship & bus but i've never sat in an aeroplane. I have been wanting to take by air all along. I don't mind anywhere as long as i have an opportunity to sit in an air plane.

Ha! I think that's about it for now...i still have other wishes but i won't pen them now...some things are meant to be personal...hahaha...

Last Friday was the group presentation. Thank God everybody passed & meet the requirement & objectives of the subject. After lesson, i went to meet my beloved Benjamin at Changi Airport Terminal 2. We spent a short period but it was fun! We had so much to talk & laugh! We went to Breeks & have a nice meal there. It was my 2nd time there & Benjamin's 1st time. The food were pretty yummy! Our preschool graduation concert theme is on Save the Earth. This is the final product. It takes more than 1 week to create this robot. Maybe it looks damn simple to you! I don't know...Guess who are the ones who did it? Hahaha...only 5% is done by the kids. I used to have these fears & worries that i'll not be able to cope & do well for my future. Now my fears & worries have eased as i began to trust in Him more & took up a Diploma course in Early Childhood. I wanted to take up this course a year ago but i delayed out of fears & worries. Then news spread that next year diploma course of duration will be 2 years and even more tedious & costly! I can't afford to lose this opportunity of this 1 year course & immediately signed up for it. Recently i also joined a ministry in church which i've been delaying for more than 2 years. God began to show me to manage my time & priority in life. With His strength & love, i feel happier & healthier ever before. HE has given me so much blessings this year. God is good all the time! Ever since i threw my mascara (reason: used up), i've been wondering if i should purchase fake lashes or mascara. Frankly, i personally think the fake lashes look better on a lady (not every fake lashes) but it's more costly on the long run. I heard it can last for a month but it can look pretty fake on a lady. That's why it's called fake lashes! Mascara is more costly but can last up to 6 months or more (depends on how you use). I've never apply fake lashes on my lashes. I would love to but i don't know how. After considering for days, i decided to buy mascara instead. I bought Maybelline XXL & brow liner in a package & LA girl pinkish lip gross. I'm pretty happy & excited to try these make up items this saturday! I hope they will help to look prettier! I think i've changed my make up style. I used to put eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, eye brow, blusher, lip gross. Now it is just eye brow, mascara, foundation, lip gross only! Change! Isn't it great?! I just can't wait to apply this saturday & wear my new top too! My wardrobe is bursting! I've been pampering myself with clothes every month! It's true! I seem to appreciate white tops more & more! After my work, i went to Benjamin's work place to wait for him. We went to Ikea & ate their famous meatballs. Benjamin loves the meatballs there while my preference is actually the thick creamy chicken soup. I ordered 2 sets of meatball combos
While Benjamin ordered Olive Rice set & Salmon set!

Olive Rice tastes a little bland & peppery. Salmon tastes good but not great. Raw ones are still better!

Yesterday, i went to Science Centre with Benjamin. It was so fun! I love to explore the different areas & play with it! Sounds kiddish? Haha...It is really fun to do things together in a meaningful & exciting way! We laughed & walked alot! It was also an experience for me in the Omni-Theatre too...i can never forget about the little boy sitting next to me who told the ladies-in-charge to wait for a while because his daddy was in the gents! How funny! His younger brother began to cry because Daddy was not there! How adorable! After exploring for a few hours, we went to jurong entertainment. I wanted to watch Mad about English but it's not there. We went to Suntec to eat dinner with his Mum instead. The food in Ministry Of Food was great! I love the food there! What's next? I want to go to the Zoo! Benjamin, take me there & make me laugh! Hahaha...

Yesterday was the graduation of the School of Theology students. It was also Rev Kong Hee's birthday. Celebration was great. Dr Alex Abraham came with his interpretor to share his personal testimony. There is great anointing in his testimony. I believe the people are blessed by it. I bought a book about educators from the attributes but i realise that a free copy of this book will be given out to all educators on Teacher's day. Oh dear! So i quickly went to exchange the book for something else. I changed it to Dr Robb Thompson book instead! 'Art of Distinction' was the title. He's my favourite speaker! Dr A.R. Bernard is also my favourite speaker too! Of course not forgetting Rev. Tan Ye Ping & Rev. Kong! Frankly, i don't cultivate the habit of reading since young. I only select books that have alot of pictures that appeal to me. But this time since i've wasted about $16 yesterday, i've to choose something that i feel it's worth my time & money. I'm not saying that the spiritual books are boring & meaningless, it's just that i seldom read! Thank God 'Art of Distinction' does appeal to me. Mind you...it's not the pictures as i previously mentioned. It is the things that he wrote which is so true & practical in my life. I've not really read yet. But i believe once i begin reading it, it may help me in my thinking & maximize my potential. I paid an extra of $22 over this book. So how much? Calculate yourself! Yes it's expensive but i feel it's worth & valuable. If a $38 book can change your life, investment is worth it. Because it can give me a promotion. So should i thank Rev. Robb Thompson for the future success? Yes partly but ultimately, it's Jesus. If there is no Jesus, i guess there will be no such book as 'Art of Distinction'. Haha...maybe 'Art of Destruction'!

Today i went shopping with my good friend, Carrin. We had fun looking & trying out clothes & food at Bugis. It was pretty fun although i'm a little tired. Shopping is one of my ways to relieve stress & worries. I bought a pair of shoes to match my dresses! I'm quite happy with it but i may want to change it as i'm a perfectionist in shoes! If i see any lines or dirt on the shoes, i want a new piece! Same for clothes as well...!

But when i reached home, i began to frown at myself. It's not due to my family & relationship problem. I don't know why. It's just myself, my frustrations, anxiety, fear... the pleasure that came from shopping & chilling had gone in just less than an hour! Perhaps it's today that things didn't really go that well for me in school or i'm just too sensitive. Every morning i will seek the Lord for His presence & help. I hope that things will go well after prayer each time but i was wrong. Things don't go well all the time. There are good times & bad times. HE makes me realise that i've to keep seeking HIM regardless of good or bad times. Sometimes it's dreadful & tiring to face work. Maybe i've high expectations or didn't really plan well. I didn't meet my goals which cause frustrations & stress in myself.

Getting prone to stress easily is my greatest weakness. Lord, i really need you everyday to guide my life. I've a good family & boyfriend & good friends around me but the fact is i'm not happy. That's why having YOU, JESUS can really comfort my soul. No one else but YOU (:

I wore it to my cell members' Baptism, together with my royal blue top. Gosh...many of my friends commented, 'Wendy you look really sexy!' Yeah...i take it as compliment! A few days ago (28/6), we went to Raffles City to taste different kinds of food in a Japanese Bazzaar Restaurant. They taste really good! We ordered 8 dishes in total! Amazing...We can really eat... i think we can compete with Sumos...!

On 16th February, John & I accompanied Lishi to Jurong service because she had her 'new' friends joining the service. They are Michelle & her boyfriend, Sean. Michelle was my primary school classmate. What a small world! It was nice seeing old friends again!

On 10th Feb, Benjamin & i watched the 3rd movie of the month (February) that was The Diving Bell & The Butterfly (:

It was descibed as a remarkable movie. However the show was quite slow & draggy. Overall, it was still a good & moving show.

Rating: 6/10

It's also my first time sitting in an european cinemax at Vivo. Pretty expensive! $10 per person...a little wasteful cos the show wasn't what i really expected! I wanted to watch Atonement but i don't seem to have the opportunity due to the schedule & tight budget constraint!

How did you celebrate your Valentine's day? I'm sure some of you enjoyed a romantic valentine's with your loved ones. I saw many ladies receiving a bouquet of flowers from their beloved ones. I've never received flowers from guys before except the ones from my preschool students. It's only this special year that somebody gave a bouquet of 3 white roses to me. Every colour & number of roses has their special meaning.

The Primary Significance of its Colour (White) represents Purity, Innocence, Sympathy, Spirituality.

Number 3 means I LOVE YOU (common sense la!)

Wonderful Times & More Movies!

Hi everyone! Gong Xi Fa Cai! The teachers had a good CNY celebration on Tuesday! We ate alot of CNY goodies & had fun with the kids.

Tong tong tong qiang! This is Xiuyun's pet...i forgot its name...oh no!

i'm sure you can tell that she really loves her pet lion...perfect combination of colours between the lion & the owner!

She is a great partner to work with!

After work, i met up with Benjamin & Carrin. We went to Funan Mall to look out for contact lens. Carrin bought hers from an optical shop. She was pretty happy as the shop gave her a free trial contact lens. She looks prettier without glasses!

After the meal, we walked to Plaza Singapura & checked the clothes over there. I love Miss Whatever! The clothes are pretty girlish & cute! Miss Whatever is the only shop in Singapore which is located at Plaza Singapura. We didn't have much time to shop around because Benjamin & I had to watch a movie at Bishan GV.

This is the one we watched. The 1st movie in the month of Feb 2008. Rating 7/10

Cj7 was the 2nd one we watched on CNY. The show was pretty average. There are some funny & emotional parts. It isn't any other lame comedy but there's a meaning behind it. Go figure out yourself if you wanna know what the show is trying to say. Thank God i didn't watch Kung Fu Dunk...i heard it isn't fantastic & is a copycat of the shaolin soccer/kung fu hustle...

I love watching movies! There are so many great movies coming up! I might be watching again!
